Valkyries are a curious race in that they are all female. They were created by
Thanas, the god of light and order, to carry the souls of His faithful
servants who had fallen in battle to His bright halls, but it has been a long
time since valkyries have been seen among the armies of light. It is said that
during the Age of Heroes they lost the guidance of Thanas and could no longer
find the way between the mortal lands and the realm of their god, and so they
became wanderers and were all but forgotten. A valkyrie appears as a beautiful
woman with bright blue eyes, surrounded by an otherworldly aura. Although they
have no wings they are able to fly, gliding effortlessly through the air.

They cannot become undead.
They are ambidextrous.
Their wounds heal fast.
They regenerate mana quickly.
They recover from fatigue quickly.
Some of the oldest known habitants of the realm belong to this race.
