Among the chaotic race of rat-like humanoids known as ratlings there are some
even more driven towards chaos than most. Although the creator of the ratling
race is not Charnack himself but a lesser deity know as the Horned Rat, these
most chaotic of ratlings have pledged their souls and bodies to Charnack, and
bred a new race of horribly mutated beings known as skaven. For the skaven, it
is not strange to have multiple limbs or heads, and their adaptability, like
that of rats, is incredible.
