Halflings are a small civilized race of humanoids who resemble a stocky
human child closely in appearance. Given their stocky appearance they are
fairly dexterous and perceptive, thus they make excellent thieves (but are
gravely insulted if anyone calls them thieves). They are a fair deal weaker
than humans physically, and cannot handle big weapons very well. As they are
used to living in their holes under the ground they have developed a good
nightvision. A happy halfling is a halfling with a full stomach and a keg of
ale.
