Fherans are an arachnid race created by Geol, the god of nature and life. A
fheran stands about eight feet tall, but it appears much larger because of its
great spiderlike body. Fherans often use only four of their legs for movement,
since the other four have developed quite dextrous sets of pincers that can be
used to wield tools or weapons. Fherans are rarely seen among the other races,
and those who see them rarely live to tell the tale since fherans consider all
other creatures as prey to be hunted and defeated. They believe that only the
strong should survive and only the strongest are fit to rule. And, of course,
they consider themselves the strongest race of all.
