The centaurs, and others of similar build, are known in many legends. They are
sometimes collectively referred to as beastmen, since they combine elements
from man and beast. More accurately, where a horse would have its head a
centaur has the torso, complete with arms and head, of a human. Centaurs are
known as skilled hunters and warriors, but also as artists and musicians. All
true beastmen, centaurs included, were created by Geol, the god of nature and
life, and they all share their creator's love for the wilderness.
